Supplies to bring:
-
LED lights ONLY. No exceptions.
-
Extension cords will be provided.
-
Decorations must be able to withstand outdoor conditions, wind and rain.
-
Zip-ties, pipe cleaners, string, or other ties to secure your decorations are recommended.
-
Plastic drop cloth or other covering for the fence and grass if you plan to spray paint your tree.
-
You may want to bring a step ladder. Trees range in height from 6-12 feet tall.
When you arrive at the park...
-
You will be notified when trees are available to start decorating. Each tree will be identified with a temporary sign (temporary signs will be replaced before tree lighting).
-
You will "claim" your tree by where your sign is placed.
-
Extension cords will already be run to each tree.
-
BRING YOUR LIGHTS. Your LED lights must be checked before decorating your tree and your cord will be provided when checking in.
Decorating tips & rules:
-
Make sure your decorations are rain and wind-safe. Trees will be standing outside in the elements for several weeks.
-
No tree skirts allowed. However, wrapped packages or theme decorations at the base of the tree are allowed.
-
Secure ornaments to trees using zip ties, pipe cleaner, string, wire or other ties. Ornament hooks will fall off in the wind.
-
Do not use water-soluble glue on ornaments.
-
Spray any fabrics with Scotch Guard to prevent mildew.
-
If you plan to spray paint your tree, please bring a drop cloth to protect the grass. Be mindful of your neighbors and the wind when spray painting.
- No tree skirts.
-
Please make sure to have outdoor-rated LED lights. This will help to make that process go smoothly. Thank you!
-
There should be NO decorations or additional signage in front of the tree except for your tree sign issued by Camden House. Additional signs may be placed under or close to the tree, but nothing may be inserted in the ground.
-
You will have until December 12th at noon to complete the decorations.
- MOST OF ALL HAVE FUN!
